Abstract

The cultural revolution – referred to as a “cultural-civilizational war”– is increasingly affecting societies. Global, regional, and national shifts in social, cultural, economic, and political spheres foster identity crises and axiological disorientation. Postmodern culture rejects the anthropological foundations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and related legal instruments, threatening Europe’s Greco-Judeo-Christian heritage. In this context, newspeak emerges as a politically charged language tool, degrading communication and shaping new, imposed patterns of thought. It facilitates redefinitions of basic concepts such as «family», «marriage», «motherhood», and «gender», altering human self-understanding. This article aimsto demonstrate how the ongoing cultural revolution – intertwined with postmodernism and postmodernity—redefines fundamental concepts and values, impacting identity, family, and human rights within globalizing and migratory contexts. Methodology. The primary research method involves critical analysis of scholarly literature and source documents using cognitive reasoning, synthesis, deduction, and induction. This interdisciplinary approach—drawing on philosophy, sociology, and law—enables a nuanced analysis of how newspeak and cultural narratives reshape human rights and social norms. Novelty. This study offers an original perspective by connecting the emergence of newspeak with the processes of globalization and cultural transformation. It reveals tensions between traditional European values and postmodern/posthumanist trends, highlighting the growing uncertainty in defining key identity categories. Conclusions. The authors argue that cultural revolution, driven by postmodern currents, transforms axiological and social foundations. Global migration intensifies this shift by fostering multicultural realities and individual disorientation. The findings call for renewed attention to human dignity and normative coherence in a rapidly changing world.
